I'm going to be stuck in Roswell for a few days waiting for a group I'm meeting up with. Anyone know anything about things to do, places to sleep?

most of the state parks in new mexico are pretty cool..
i'm sure there's some sort of underground going on, but Bottomless Lakes is about 15 miles SE of you.. pretty neat place & probably not a difficult hitch.

showers, & swimming.. no charge for day use walk in, & i would imagine that no one would bother you for trail camping..
anyways, i thought it was pretty good, though.. i wish diving off the rocks there was legal.. : )

there's a few spots where you can dive, but they actually patrol the fucking cliffs.. at least when i was there..
locals would know more.. if i get back out, i'm checking it..
